We counsel employers in their human resource matters and assist them in promulgating, revising, and implementing internal policies and procedures, including employee handbooks, anti-harassment policies and job applications, applying overtime and related regulations to non-exempt employees, drafting employment agreements and severance agreements, conducting investigations of internal claims of workplace harassment, setting up employee hotlines to report work-related misconduct, and implementing progressive discipline and other aspects of adverse job actions.
As strong advocates of proactive employment risk management, we regularly present in-service seminars on employment issues for our clients’ managers and employees. Our topics include a broad overview of Federal, State and local prohibitions on workplace discrimination, sexual harassment and workplace violence.
Our attorneys also have experience in labor law, representing both public and private employers, with such matters as collective bargaining, grievance disputes, and grievance arbitrations.
